Goodbye 2016

Better Vibes - The Plot In You

How does one begin to summarize an entire year in a single blog post? I’m not really sure and have been sitting here trying to think of how to begin. Here goes nothing.

With the end of the year in sight everyone begins to reflect on all of the good and bad things that have occurred over the past 12 months. It is easy to focus on the bad things especially if you struggle with depression, anxiety, and lack of positive thinking like I do. What good does that do? An individual I follow on instagram wrote “If you are complaining on the internet about how shit your year was, the problem is likely to be you” In my case this is very true. I let myself sink into negativity way too often and caused my own problems for the most part. The fact that I am able to realize that now however makes me excited and proud of the progress I have made this year. I know I can control these things if I work hard enough and I plan on doing that in this upcoming year. I’m going to work on being the best me possible. And for all of those people hating on the whole “new year, new me” screw you. God forbid people want to change into better versions of themselves. To change is to grow. So you go ahead and stay the same miserable asshole you’ve always been. Anyways back to the point…

A lot of amazing things did happen this year though. For instance I was lucky enough to be able to get this website created (Thanks David). I was able to see some amazing sights and experience new places such as

Cuyahoga National Forest

The Porcupine Mountains

Lake Superior

Hiawatha National Forest

Various waterfalls of the Upper Peninsula

I have been able to take some of the best photos I have ever taken (lot of them featured above) My wrestling photography has greatly improved along with my editing skills.

I’ve greatly improved my portrait skills as well.

I was able to see some of my favorite bands in life this year, arguably the best times of my year every year.

And the best moment of my year for sure…getting to meet Joel Birch again and being able to show him my tattoo of his lyrics and thank him for everything. One of the best moments of my life.

So 2017, I am ready to embrace you and make you my bitch. More positivity, more art, and more concerts!

See you all then 😉
