Mom’s Birthday Trip!

You’ll have to forgive me for the lateness of this post. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to get this done. Partly because lack of inspiration, playing Skyrim and starting a new medication. Well here it is anyways.

We decided we were going to get up early so we could make the most of the day considering it was in the middle of the week so we were up and at it before 10. Not much to say about the drive into Ohio (other than Ohio blows and the Buckeyes suck) Our first stop was Marblehead lighthouse of course! It was incredibly hot that day (96ish) so it was nice to stop and get down by the lake. If you guys know my mom at all you know that she adores lighthouses more than anyone you’ll ever meet.

By the time we were done exploring Marblehead and Lake Erie we headed back on the road and I was hungry! We stopped at Denny’s for brunch which was yummy.

Our next destination was Cuyahoga National Forest…we had never been here before and figured it was a NATIONAL forest so it had to be cool! It surely was. I had to convince Mom to drive all the way out there because she didn’t know if she wanted to drive that far and use all of that gas and blah blah blah. I knew she wanted to go so I refused to go anywhere else haha.

Our first sight to see was a large waterfall! Unfortunately, there were assholes getting in the water, climbing the waterfall and sitting on top of it. Have fun with your new parasitic friends that climbed up your peehole boys. I managed to get some shots without them included.

Next it was time to go cool off in the shade of the forest and put our souls at ease. Nothing makes me more at peace and happy than strolling through the silence of nature. The land was so rustic and untainted by humans. It felt and appeared as if we were in prehistoric times.

By this time it was the “golden hour” and I finally got to experience lighting that I had only seen in photographs. I have never been fortunate enough to see it in person to photograph until this day. I had started to think that the photographs I so envied had to have been photoshopped considering I had never seen such lighting in person. I am so excited about these pictures which is probably why they have taken me so long to get done with; they had to get the proper attention they deserved.

Lastly, we went to a spot in the park known for it’s beautiful sunsets and enjoyed the sunset until a bunch of ASSHOLES came and blabbed through it and killed the vibe.
